San Diego Foundation of Nepal or SADFUN is a Non Government Organisation (NGO). It was founded with an aim to bring awareness about education, health, environment and development amongst the rural folks of Nepal. It all began in 1999 when an American Don Meredith visited Nepal and saw the people in rural Nepal living under hopeless and helpless condition in poverty with no transport, health or education facilities.
The man saw the need of his fellow human being in the country which was not his to help and assist the people in rural Nepal to lift them from their helpless and hopeless state and to acquire basic knowledge and skills in basic education, health and other social opportunities through the program introduced by Meredith and his helpers in Nepal.
Today, through the help and support of many well-wishers and supports of this organisation they have about fifteen permanent employees and several volunteers. While the office in Nepal are all managed by the Nepalese.
