New York City, NY – July 17, 2011 – Miss Nepal USA 2011 New York audition was held on July 15th, 2011 at Chian Federation, Astoria, New York. There were 18 applicants who had applied for the audition, out of which 14 attended for the first phase audition. Because of large number of applicants and special request from concern stakeholders, we had to make a special decision to organize a second round of audition in New York on July 31st, 2011 to give chance to all interested eligible candidates to participate from all over USA.

The very famous Nepali Choreographer- Basant Shrestha, the leading Nepali actress- Gauri Malla, Fashion Designer, Shan Khadka, Nepalese-American Model- Dorna Shrestha, the former Nepali attorney & BOD of NRNA, USA- Dhurba Pd. Subba, the President of Nepal Kalamunch, New York- Ram Raja Chhetry and CEO of Jackson International Inc. – Krishna Neupane (Jackson) were presented as the members of jury for New York audition.
The similar audition are going to be held in following cities of USA; Columbus, OH (23rd July), Baltimore (24th July), Boston (30th July), Chicago (30th July), Seattle (July 30th), Colorado (July 31st), Atlanta (July 31st), San Francisco (July 31st), Los Angeles (July 31st) and Dallas (July 31st).
New Yorkers experienced a unique Nepali event on the same evening of New York audition of Miss Nepal USA 2011. The cultural program with fashion show (children and adult) and DJ Zam was organized to support the New York participant. Many very famous Nepali singers and performers performed during the event. The main attraction of event was highlighted with the fashion show of different age group (children, teen girls and boys). It was really a great success of event in terms of participation and presence of over 500 crowd including distinguished communities leaders and members.
Cultural Program – Miss Nepal USA 2011 – New York
Miss Nepal USA 2011 is a grand beauty pageant for the young Nepali women of the age group 18 to 27 from all across the USA. A singular event of glamour and glory, Miss Nepal USA 2011 will celebrate the arts and culture of Nepal and crown intelligence, talent and beauty. The entire event is inspired by the goal of inculcating a sense of connectedness in every Nepali who has created a home away from home in United States.
A dedicated team of outstanding mentors will provide ample support and world-class training for every participant to attain her best self and compete for the coveted title of Miss Nepal USA 2011. Here is a chance for every aspiring young girl who has travelled to this ‘land of opportunity’ to earn international fame and add wings to her dreams. Amid wide acclaim and new avenues of success, the winner will be a youth icon and add glory to the Nepali community in USA.
Just as much as Miss Nepal USA 2011 is about felicitating the winners of this beauty-with-brain contest, it is about Nepal and every other Nepali. With the motto of ‘Empowering Youths, Promoting Nepal’, the event will serve as a platform for all the participants to achieve their personal, professional and philanthropic goals with valuable interactions and experience of empowerment gained throughout the contest.
We aim at identifying talented young women who can uphold our national pride in United States and around the world. We pride ourselves in the fact that our judging criteria for the Miss Nepal US are grounded on our search for an inner beauty which the participants shall display through their intelligence and meritorious conduct throughout the competition. Hence, participants are not required to expose their body in swimsuits. In fact, we have intentionally abandoned such need for this pageant. The winner for the beauty pageant will be chosen based on their personality, overall attitude, public speaking skills, talent and their ability to form intellectual opinions on issues of national and international concern.
The Final Event – 20th of August 2011 – Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel – New York, USA
The final event slated for August 20, 2011, at Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel, Flushing, New York will be a spectacular gala of 30 amazing women contesting for the prestigious title of Miss Nepal USA 2011. The event shall be graced by members of jury and dignitaries who have achieved eminence in their life along with spectacular performances and cuisine to perk us all up.
