Dear Michael,
Hello !!!! This is Mr. Janak Panthi from Kathmandu. Nepal.
I would like to confirm that, the visa cost is US$30.
Yes the foreigners would have to pay in US$ Dollars. That’s right.
When they will go back to their own country, previously the Nepalese airport authority collected the Airport tax, but now, this tax is already included in the tickets. So tell your friends to inquire from the travel agents, that if the airport tax is included in their tickets. Otherwise, they will have to pay the Airport tax according to Nepali Rupees 1400, in US dollars it is 19.17. That’s it. If any problem arises they can contact me, here in Kathmandu via my email….
Three of my Russian friends are travelling to Kathmandu next week. They will need a single-entry tourist visa for a 9 day stay, which they will apply for at the airport immigration. Please could you confirm that
a) the visa would cost the equivalent of US$30 each
b) that they need to pay in US dollars
c) Are there any other costs, e.g. a Departure Tax, that they need to be aware of.
Thank you
