Australia, the land of kangaroos, the island country and the flat continent which is in the Oceania is isloated from most of the world. It was not the country of choice for most of the Nepalese for their higher education or migration like US, UK and certain European countries, until recent years. Very few came to Australia, maybe at the later end of 70s, 1978 is when some Nepalese took a step to choose Australia. In 80s others start to come, some after serving in the British Army made Australia their choice to settle. In the early and mid 90s few more started to roll and then towards the end of 90s, 1999 and onwards Australia became first choice of country for Nepalese students for their higher education. Though, Australia was flooded by Nepalese students and residents, still there was no Nepalese Embassy. Nepalese Embassy in Tokyo, Japan was still handling all official issues. Finally after long wait, Embassy of Nepal was opened in the month of March 2007, in Canberra the capital city of Australia. Prior to this, if Nepalese living in Australia had to renew their passport, they had to post their old passports, forms and bank cheque to Nepalese Embassy in Tokyo, Japan for the renewal service . Now, with the Nepalese Embassy in Canberra, Australia – it has truly made the life of Nepalese much easier.

its like 6 months i arrived in nepal for private reasons , before i am in australia holding student visa that already expire. is that possible to renew my australian student visa while i am in nepal .
