Senior Leader of Nepali Congress Bal Bahadur Dies at the age of 90

Bal Bahadur Rai, former minister and the senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) passed away around 4:00 pm on the 4th of July 2010. Mr Rai, 90, who was a long time diabetic patient with kidney and spine related problems was admitted to Maharajgunj TU Teaching Hospital in the Capital on the 30th of June 2010, where he spent his final four days of his life before he passed away.
Mr Rai was born on the 17th of February 1921 in a village called Moli in Okhaldhunga District of Sagarmatha State in Eastern Nepal. He joined the politics in 1947 and served as acting Prime Minister for 19 times.
Body of Mr Rai will be kept at Nepali Congress head office in Sanepa, Lalitpur for people to pay their final respect, before as per family source taking it to his ancestral village in Okhaldhunga District for the burial.
