An Unfair Fare
Listed in: Australia

Yellow Pass, means able to travel around most of the parts of Sydney (Sydney-Australia and not the little town from Canada) by public bus, train, and ferry without any hassle as many times I want. Yellow Pass was valid until the 8th of October 2007. But, when I entered in the bus and swipe my yellow pass, silly ticket machine read error and invalid. The driver saw the ticket everything was normal and fine, but still asked me to pay the bus fare, ticket dated the 3rd of October 2007 (Photo) . His excuse was machine rejected it, so I had to pay the fare. This is what we call the modern world of advanced technology failure. We are relying more and more on machine than ourselves.
I paid the fair as I was in hurry. Later I emailed the State Transit, got the response from them but later the case disappeared with few excuses and left it there and became history. If you happened to experience this, just remember you are not the only one. I threw the ticket but still have the picture that I took that day. So, just thought to share…
