Koshi River Flooding Area present day: Large area was flooded during Northern Summer 2008. This is what it looks like today. On the left hand side you can see all the sand washed from Sapta Koshi River while Nepal’s largest river flows on the right hand side and I am standing on embankment reconstructed after the flood

Sand storm north side of East West Highway near Katan, area filled with sand after the flooding – Katan is somewhere between Bhantabari and Entrance to Koshi Tappu. The Highway is still not built after the flooding and always prepare for sand storm
