United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven states in south eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, which is in the southwest of the Asian continent on the Persian Gulf. It is bordered with Oman and Saudi Arabia and Iran across the Persian Gulf. The seven states or emirates, princely style political territory is: Abhu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al-Quwain. The UAE is rich in oil and natural gas, became prosperous after attracting foreign investment in the 1970s.
This is where many Nepalese have gone to work and the number is increasing every day. Nepal and the UAE established their diplomatic relations in 1977. But, only in April 2004, was the Embassy of Nepal was opened in Abu Dhabi, UAE to serve the growing population and increasing Nepalese expatriates working in the Emirates. Nepalese Embassy also monitors and takes responsibility to protect the interests of Nepalese nationals living in UAE.
Nepalese are increasing in thousands every year in UAE, with about 20 weekly flights to UAE from Nepal.

    On behalf of Oman Air Holidays based in Head Office (Oman), we would like to know the nearest Nepalese Tourist Board in the Middle East. We are going to operate to Kathmandu by end of this year and would like to be in cooperation with the Nepalese Tourist Board.
