Society of Nepalese in Hawaii

Hawaii, one of the 50 states of USA, is the island state of United States in the Pacific Ocean. Hawaii, one of the famous battle field during the WW II, bombing of US Navy base by the Japanese. Nice beaches and high waves for surfing. Hawaii, beautiful place, where beside Hawaiian and the Americans, Nepalese have also made this island state their home. In order to preserve and promote Nepalese language, culture and way of life among the Nepalese and friends living in Hawaii, they have formed a Nepalese community called Society of Nepalese in Hawaii, public, not for profit, non-political organisation, based in Honolulu, the largest city in Hawaiian islands.
It was established in 2007, purely for charitable purpose to provide support to both individual and societies that are in need. Community is united by each member’s love for Nepal and Nepalese people, food and way of life. Anyone, can become a member of this community, at present members are not just from Nepal, but also from, Bhutan, India, USA but the majority are from Nepal.
