Malaysia, is a former British colony in the South East Asia. It is made of three main province Malay, Sabah and Sawarak. Nepal and Malaysia has excellent relations between each other, it goes way back even before it was called Malaysia. From the early days the Gurkhas serving in the British army and then Malaya, under the British rule had their ties. Malaysia has been one of the major destination for young Nepalese for employment. Nepalese workers are found to be engaged in various area of employment, making Nepal the second largest country to supply foreign workers in Malaysia.
Therefore, there was need to establish Nepalese Embassy in  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to meet the need of Nepalese working in Malaysia. Beside expanding good relations and cooperation between Malaysia and Nepal, Nepalese Embassy also encourages Malaysia to invest and trade with Nepal and promotes tourism that will profit and benefit Nepal.
