Finland is a Scandinavian country bordered with Russsia in the east Sweden in the west, Norway on the north and Estonia on the south, across the Gulf of Finland. One of the most stable country in the world. Nothing much is heard about Finland except Nokia. Finland-Nepal Friendship Association (FNFA) was established in 1980. FNFA, has both Nepalese and Finnish members, promotes Nepalese culture and are involved in a smaller and limited measure of charity and development work in Nepal. FNFA also organises gatherings, events and parties during Nepalese cultural occasions.
FNFA, also published information booklet called ‘Himal’ – meaning mountain in Nepali language, two (2) or three (3) times a year and are mailed to it’s members in a printed form. Himal, contains latest information about Nepal and Nepalese activities and cultural issues in Finland and back home.
