Sydney Harbour Bridge - view from ferry on the way to Darling Harbour.
Sydney Harbour Bridge was built during 1930s. It was build during the time of depression to provide employment, it is about 500 Meters long. Bridge (materials used) was build in Newcastle, England and shipped to Sydney, Australia. Painting the bridge is another big job, I once met a man at my work painter by profession, who was painting the Harbour Bridge said to me, “By the time you finish painting the bridge from one end to the other, it will just be time to start again.” Harbour Bridge links Sydney CBD to North Sydney, about 30,000 vehicles crosses the bridge each day, tolls are paid when crossing the bridge (Vehicles only- if you are walking or riding your push bike specially set aside on either side of the bridge-no worries it’s free), but some vehicles are exempted from paying tolls like state run busses. Beside, just watching, driver or walking across the Harbour Bridge you can also climb this bridge, ofcouse you need to pay $100.00-$200.00 (Please check with them) safety belt etc are provided, as it gets windy at the top of the bridge. So, paying $200.00 is worth it for your own safety. If you plunge to death from the bridge it is more expensive, will cost you minumun $4,000.00 (for the funeral-this is the cheapest you can get-it’s really no frills). Well, enjoy the Harbour Bridge…
